Trying to prevent the dumbest exploiters from stealing my game

Hello! I’ve done my research and seems that no one has talked about this topic. I’m trying to find out currently if it’s possible to delete everything inside workspace except the “terrain”. Currently, it would show up an error that the following object couldn’t be deleted and immediately leads it to the script, making it easy to detect the script deleting everything from workspace.

The solutions I’ve came up currently would be either somehow disabling the errors, what the script brings up or deleting everything else other than the “terrain” object. In my opinion, it’s a bit bizarre that we must have a “terrain” option in workspace and that it’s undeletable.

My brain’s small, so I basically rely on tutorials. Since no one has talked about this topic, I’ve got nothing to rely on. I just do not have any idea on how to do so. May you please give me a direction on where to go/what to look at.

You didn’t search thorough enough

Basically clients need to download the map to actually be able to play on it. If you catch someone with a copy of your map you didn’t give permission to you can file a DMCA takedown request. Any content you create on Roblox is your property (and Roblox’s too).

I did make a report of a previously stolen copy to Roblox’s support system, but all what they litereally did was that they told me to report them in Roblox’s platforms. Just the basic report system, what has over the years DONE LITEREALLY NOTHING.

I’ve never heared of a DMCA takedown request. It seems really interesting and looks like it could actually work. How would I prove that it would be my work tho?

That’s very interesting and cool to see.
I didn’t know that this kind of option was over there.

I know I’m asking for a lot, but how would the process go through technically. Would they ask for some kind of evidence, such as pictures etc, that you built it?

From here I won’t be of much help. Nothing of mine has ever been stolen. But they probably will.

I completely understand that it has been 3 months, but the worst has finally happened. As I probably already said, I sell airports. A month ago, I made a DMCA takedown request, Roblox did nothing and just told me the following:

"Thank you for your information about this incident. Unfortunately after our review we will be unable to remove the content in question.

At this time we are unaware of any exploits that can steal fully functional games, and we also do not see evidence of your account being compromised. We strongly recommend you re-secure your account and project and ensure that only those you can trust have editing access to your content."

I believe Synapse is the biggest threat to Roblox communities. The day I became aware of synapse, I got concerned with the actual security of my airports. The biggest concern lies over here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWflGgjJXYE.

I do not understand, how Roblox could miss this point.
They talked to me like nothing ever happened. LITERALLY, IT HAPPENED TO ME LIVE 7 MONTHS AGO. I OWNED AN AIRPORT (at that time I allowed in-game tours), AN EXPLOITER CAME IN, TOLD ME TO WAIT 5 MINUTES AND THEN SUDDENLY TELLS ME: “You know that this airport is an FM” WHEN I HADN’T EVEN LAUNCHED IT. ONLY I HAD ACCESS TO IT.

Now Roblox, tell me how A PERSON could GET MY GAME when I was the ONLY OWNER OF IT. TELL ME!

And this is pretty much all… Roblox support team tries to tell us, that there’s no way to exploit in any way. That’s the biggest lie I’ve ever heard…

When they said “fully functional”, it means that the server code is also in the scene; in order for a game to work, the server and client must work together. However, a client CANNOT see server code unless there is a backdoor or a rogue developer exposed the scripts. This is why you shouldn’t handle important things on the client.

I completely understand. I was dumb 7 months ago. But… since I’ve got a decent amount of customers (around 15-20) who have bought Pierre Regional Airport, the exploiters could steal the airport through their games as well. Of course, other customers of mine could just give them the airport as well without me knowing it. But then they would have to disable the whitelist scripts, which I believe most of the customers wouldn’t know how to do.

Oh god… I bet that there’s always a chance a backdoor can exist.
So… I assume that Roblox will never actually ban anyone.

For example, I bet that some people were able to copy the map of Adopt Me. And of course, Roblox will probably help Adopt Me out since they’re actually relevant and could turn their fan base against Roblox.
Same thing applies to RBLX Youtubers, for example Flamingo. He has stated many times that he has got out of false bans, which non-relevant people probably couldn’t.

Overall… I believe that Roblox sadly will not really do anything to protect our data.
What is the DMCA takedown even useful for then, if we look it at that way?
