UI resets its color when editing if using the color picker (EDIT: Every Color3 Picker)

the color reset thing is happening to me as well which is how i found this topic

Iā€™m getting the same issue. A fix for now that Iā€™ve seen is copy the color code, click off, then paste it (the long ones that look like [034, 095, 325] or cut out the texture youā€™re coloring and inserting it back in. (for decals / textures.)

With a new update, always comes a new bugā€¦

what was the newest update recently?

Not sure, just know that it kept nagging me to update.

they did that to me twice and didnt tell me what it was for

this needs to be fixed ASAP, things like this disrupt our workflow negatively

me and my friend working on our game find this annoyingly painful, the only fix i found was copying the id of the color and pasting it in instead of using the color picker.

Experiencing it as well. Cannot change a Color3 property through the color picker without it resetting back to its previous value.

The only workaround is to change the color 2 times then click the viewport, and thatā€™s kinda it.

they should fix this ASAP. i canā€™t believe how much roblox has been breaking since their last update. Web glitches, web features missing, game glitched, animations glitched and now colorsā€¦ what is being implemented that is causing this much damage??

It doesnā€™t reset itā€™s color until you select another instance/ deselect the instance, clicking on the viewport is 100% fine if you donā€™t happen to select another instance while clicking around. Still odd that this is happening in the first place, and it is absolutely irritating, hoping this gets fixed soon.

I too have encountered this problem. At the moment I solved it by writing the color by hand. So for example (255,255,255) so also for UIStroke etcā€¦

i am currently experincing this too.

Having the same issue to, hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Experiencing this right now, quite annoying lol

This bug also happened to me, every Color3 values reverts to the previous color it was before. Very annoying bug.

Having the same issue here, itā€™s incredibly annoyingā€¦

How does one mess up the ability of selecting Color3 SPECIFICALLY via color picker?
No idea what happened but man do I hope this gets fixedā€¦

oh phew, Iā€™m not alone with this - thought I was going crazy. someone mentioned as a temporary workaround to select your color, copy the rgb, click away and let it revert, then paste the copied rgb back into the color3. you can do this until this get fixed.

All of the properties that open another window reverts the changesā€¦ even the 9 slice editor

This is happening for me tool, can someone come and fix this.

I found a way to bypass this bug, it works for everything.

  1. Select the color you want.
  2. Before you deselect the part, copy the RGB Code
  3. Deselect the part and select it back
  4. Past the RGB code back in
  5. Deselect and you will see the color stays
