Unable to disable VR mode using the Valve Index

Description of bug:
When playing a game, the client boots up but since it’s currently in VR mode, it also opens SteamVR with it; to disable VR mode you have to go into VR and toggle the “VR” button; But since it seems the ROBLOX client doesn’t have any support for the Valve Index, it doesn’t detect that I’m holding down the trigger on the controllers to attempt to disable it.

Where the bug happens:
It happens in the VR menu while in a game.

When it started happening:
When I fully completed the setup for my Valve Index in SteamVR.

Screenshots and videos of the bug:
It’s quite simple,

I’m pulling the trigger on the “VR” button to try to disable it.

Steps to reproduce the issue:
If you are using a Valve Index,

  1. Go into a game
  2. Hit the A button on the Index controllers
  3. Hover over the “VR” button and pull trigger (Won’t register)

System specs:

  • Intel i5-6400 @ 2.70 GHz
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
  • CORSAIR RAM (24 GB)
  • Valve Index, full kit

The Valve Index doesn’t have a “correct” button mapping. Instead Steam attempts to awkwardly and dynamically map the Vive’s controls to the Index’s controllers, and sometimes the Index will pick very awkward and unusual positions for the remaps.

For example, Index Touchpad Zone North is actually Vive Touchpad Zone East.
