This is awesome! Always look forward to optimizations. Currently i reduce my space ships collisions by keeping all details non collidable, and have a sort of representation using collision boxes to keep the lag down. This will probably make it even better.

A lot of my places have the same system as the one here: Devil's Den Speedway - Roblox
My dirt tracks feature a layer of about 8,000+ blocks having touched events run on them to determine if a tire touched them. If so, it runs various things and over time the dirt gets “run in” making the optimal racing line on the track change.
Essentially, this game is running a bare minimum of one touched event per frame when people are actively driving around.

This could be very useful for my shipping game, currently using raycasts and the rotatedregion3 module to detect if a ship is docked, ect.
Some of the largest ships in the game have around 1000 parts welded together which have started to cause issues with performance.

We’d like to test this, can’t possibly make the lag worse than it already is. Up to 2,000 parts on a ship and no speed limit makes for some chunky physics FPS when a few big ships are moving around.
