Using image in SetTeleportGui causes asset loading to fail

Reproduction Steps

  1. Create a UI where an image is used
  2. Set it as teleport gui with TeleportService:SetTeleportGui
  3. Teleport to a different place

Open source place: Image loading bug - Roblox

Expected Behavior

The image should not fail to load after teleporting

Actual Behavior

Using an image in TeleportService:SetTeleportGui causes the image loading to fail after teleporting

Attempting to call ContentProvider:PreloadAsync after teleporting returns Enum.AssetFetchStatus.Failure for the given image.

Removing the image from TeleportGui fixes the issue.

I can confirm that this is indeed still an issue, which breaks immersion in one of my own games. For me, this issue started happening on the 25th of October and has yet to be fixed.

Can confirm, one of our images in our loading screen fails to load into a different place after setting the GUI.

I reuploaded my teleport gui image after experiencing this bug for awhile now, and they all load with a white blank image now… very disruptive. As well as the GUI rescaling to the top left and then rescaling back to full screen during the teleport.

This has also been experienced here:

can confirm its very annoying to see this, and screen size flash issue as well
