I think we should reserve Weekly Recaps for content that contains more than 1 update.
Updates:
We also need them when there’s just a single update to really make sure that’s the only one that released.
So essentially a confirmation that this was it.
No you don’t
In this notification pool you can’t tell if a topic has been updated, like with:
[UPDATE] Occlusion Culling Now Live in Roblox Client
or if an API endpoint has been deprecated.
The recaps mainly help to notice these minor changes.
It doesn’t matter if it has been updated, if it interests you that much, you check back on it like a normal person.
I’m tired of these weekly recaps because I keep thinking there’s a good update but there isn’t anything other than just recycled information.
When will we get to see an ingame join group prompt in a weekly recap?
When will I stop seeing pinned recaps
for heavens sakes just make a category for them instead of a tag… what’s the tag gonna do lol
unless I’m stupid and there’s a way to blacklist tags (I’ve only found a way to search by tags, and it’s pretty obvious how)
There is literally ONE piece of information in this recap, and you literally can’t miss it since it’s at the top of announcements anyway (and notification in creator hub), recap or not.
Best of all, they never even bother acknowledging/responding to the complaints or pleas—completely lost in their own fantasy world. Check my other comments.
The really funny part is that some kind of investigation from the SEC is currently going on
If they keep ignoring their problems and keep doing their wierd userbase confusion dance, they will keep getting investigated and it will backfire eventually
I will always love these they relay make me excited and feel happy to sees these I love reading these
read this recap but ignore a singular update log and a singular API announcement
A tasty old nothing burger. Just how I like it.
It seems like ROBLOX isn’t really keen on
- addressing their own problems (bettering the platform instead of being investigated)
- addressing the concerns and requests of the people powering said platform (developers), since evem the actually intuitive requests get thrown into the gutter ~ likely the same place reports go
bug reports get addressed all the time, but they leave feature requests to rot for no reason
Even bug reports are left to rot sometimes, come on. I made a bug report last year and NEVER got a response, even though a lot of people replied.
ok so editable meshes are limited to 7 gj. It is not even enough to make one vehicle…
A recap of what, 1 single update? I mean at this point you might as well stop making these silly recap announcements.
While this maybe could’ve been saved for a future recap, I personally appreciate these recaps, especially if I’m ever absent from the forums for an extended period of time.
