I for one is looking forward to this, seeing many players cheat over the past years has given me lost interest in working on my project, I’m looking forward for the release and hope to defeat them pesky insects. It shouldn’t really be down to developers to worry about these kinda fixes of having to do loads of anti exploits and such
Developer like many others are here to create an imagination, to create fun experiences, to have be destroyed by these insects is just so annoying and not the power we can provide to keep our customers satisfy
You’re saying that Synapse X already patched this, but how? Synapse X is only a Roblox executor AFAIK, so how can they say they patched a non-Roblox anti-cheat lol.
This is a great addition. Often, game creators have to pay other developers to buy their anti-cheat system or just go for a worse free option. It is more practical for all games to have a universal anti-cheat system. Also, it is common to see exploiters in many roblox games that have not recieved updates in a long time. I hope this addition proves to be capable. Thank you!
It seems extremley unlikely for it to be another software to install because then people could just get around the anti cheat buy not installing it lol. Also, it would just be generally impractical.
I disagree. Considering Roblox has virtually no anticheat implemented, this is a significantly needed update.
Developers can’t do all the work. Just being given tools doesn’t really help. Even with the ip banning capability, how do you determine if some one is truly exploiting? All this goes back to sanity checks, which get a bit complicated if your game is heavily physics based.
Every major game has their own anticheat engine implementation. I’m surprised Roblox waited this long to do so.
I can assure you that this won’t change anything for malicious hackers as there are always workarounds. I can assure you that custom made exploits won’t be effected by this since they have their own custom made DLLs and injection methods. Anyone can perform some sort binary exploitation and get around whatever measures Roblox incorporates. The only way to semi-permanently stop hackers is to have a IPS running server-side that watches every packet being sent back and forth. Which Roblox is too cheap to incorporate, since custom made IPS’s are really expensive.
I certainly hope this isn’t some marketing gimmick (although probably is) for some half-assed client-side two lines of if statements.
Any somewhat familiar hacker can spoof their MAC address, request a new IP from their ISP, or use a VPN to bypass bans.
It’s simple enough, decompiling the binary through a .NET decompiler or Debugger, this is mainly used in analyzing malware, the YouTuber John Hammond has some really good malware analysis videos on this topic.
Well I can’t certainly wait for the upcoming anti-cheat and security features. What I’m still wondering is how will this work? Will it affect server or client performance, or will it affect low end devices. I have plenty of more question’s but they can all be answered after the release.
Cant wait!
