What are you working on currently? (2017)

Dude oh my god seeing that, we’ve sure come a long way since the olden days. I instantly got nostalgia for when I first met you in 2012, you were scripting dragons for an RPG game and I was brought on the team to build the terrain and everyone thought my work was good

I just loaded up that old file looool

How large is the map size-wise, also how many parts?

5k*5k studs, will be ~9k * 9k, exploration is one of the cores of the game.
about 50k polygons when done

Small thing I made. Not really sure if it has any practical uses.

Idiot Express has a pass just like the ones pictured. It’s uncanny how similar the first one is to the route to the alpha camp.

How are you managing the size? A chunk render system? I am working on a very large map but most computers can’t handle it.

He has only terrain, you have terrain + many towns… That’s a lot more instances to download and render.

Yep. I was assuming he would be adding assets because he said you would “Explore” the map.

The finished map is going to be converted to smooth terrain.

Another VR weekend project.
This time I added hand models for 5 different gestures (open hand, grabbing, pointing, thumbs up, fist) as well as more physics fun stuff. Sometimes it can have, err, interesting results :grimacing:

Working on a mini-project. Here is a simplified PCB of an AMD RX 580 Nitro+ from Sapphire.

Main parts needed for my case:

  • Dye and substraight
  • Power delivery (Mosphets, Capacitors, Inductors)
  • Power connector
  • Display connectors
  • PCIe connector

Running down slopes lets you pick up some extra speed for extra-long leaps! …it’ll be more useful once there’s a level actually designed.
