Idk, maybe some signs or potted plants? I never played half-life, but i think those would look nice in the corridor.

I think the colors create a theme of emptiness, so I really wouldn’t change anything since that’s a good theme to go for. However, I would detail the roofs. Add paneling and extra lighting on the roof to give extra detail. I also like the Arkhon Labs logo in the front.

what suggestions should i add for the details on the roof?

Something like this. This is what I meant by paneling.

First of all I think you should make some stuff colors other than black grey white cuz it looks kinda bland. For the details I would try adding light fixtures, tables, chairs, cabinets, computers, random wires, posters, and random things of storage like boxes, containers, crates and bags

Ah this is a common one.

When creating a space, think about what exactly the space is going to be used for. By doing this, you can relate the space to other real-world environments you’ve seen, and what is in those spaces. Additionally, think about what you actually need in the space, realistically. For example, you might need to have fire extinguishers, defibrillators, etc on the wall to meet Health and Safety standards. You might need some directional tape on the floor as you would rather not make signs, etc.

At the start it’s quite dull and bland, science corridor normally have vents and mixed color pallets. I would consider looking at different types of science lab facility buildings to get some general ideas, that’ll fit with your build.

You normally see (science labs) feature variety of details and decorations the color scheme isn’t completely grey as it’ll feature something like white mixed with a grey-ish sort of tone, consider experimenting with adding a white color to make certain areas pop more, add some square lighting source to make the ceiling feel less empty. Add things that’ll be in a facility.

You may want to look into a way to make your build stand out throw items in the wall make the ceiling have square tiles instead of a flat appearance. There are various objects and details to add to your lab such as on the walls and surface, consider viewing a few reference images to see why details are needed.

I’d add things about the game, little hints about what happens.

Also I’d use proper grammar/English because when developers see your writing, they will see immaturity there. Community editors, and Roblox interns/staff see it and want you to change it.
Personally I don’t see it, but some of these people are strict about the DevForums lol.

what are you talking about? wheres the grammarical errors. in the post? in the arkhon labs logo?

No capitalization, poor punctuation, and some spelling errors.
Again I don’t have a problem with it, I’m just pointing out to you some of the editorial people and staff are strict about topics, especially after the “update” with no more applications.

so your specifically talking about the topics grammatical errors?

edit: I just fixed some of the grammar issues in my post, and why did you point that out when that wasnt relevant to the current topic?

Add lab equipment and research mini-bases throughout the corridors. Signs would probably help as well, allowing players to find their way. Small lighting on rooftops and scientists walking down the corridors would help as well.

In my view, you have three options:

  1. Make the corridor more narrow. Right now, it’s so big… There’s not really a way to fill up all that space.
  2. Make it EXTREMELY detailed. I would do this by adding in plants, more colors on the walls and ceiling, make the floor have guidance lines and make every single component extremely detailed. If everything looks super realistic and has a varying level of toned down colors, you will still get the surreal look you are going for but also not make it feel so empty and synthetic.
  3. Do both one and two.

Personally, I would go with three. These corridors are just simply too big. I would also raise the ceiling a bit to match how large they are. This is a great example of a more detailed version of what you’re portraying:

There is a lot of detail put into the floor, walls, and ceiling, but it still has that creepy feel. You have your own style, but this is just a great example of how you can make the walls, floors, and ceiling more 3D by adding pipes, different types of lights, columns along the walls, and more bordering.
