What's the point in being able to upload a gamepass you can't sell?

So Zombie Rush reached the highest amount of gamepasses it can actually sell, but what’s the point in limiting it? I have a bunch of permanent unlocks and I feel a lot more secure using gamepasses considering how often DataStore has failed me in the past. I have to answer to hundreds of PMs because my devproducts don’t seem to always save so I think it’s dumb I can’t just use a gamepass. I mean I technically already can, but it requires me to upload them to another place. Why let us upload passes we can’t sell? If anything please just raise the amount of passes we can sell… again…

Having to maintain and support two things that do almost the exact same thing is unnecessary work for ROBLOX, so as I’m sure you’ve already heard they’d like to phase out gamepasses in favor of developer products, as developer products offer more control. That being said, I agree that the unreliability of saving developer products is completely unacceptable. ROBLOX can keep increasing the number of gamepasses that can be sold as a temporary measure, but ultimately they need to permanently fix the issue if they want to phase out gamepasses. That permenant solution should be datastores working automagically, because in their current state they’re garbage.

Part because they don’t want to have to design the UX to allow users to painlessly navigate through large numbers of gamepasses, and part because they want to discourage the use of gamepasses in favor of developer products.

OOOHHH I JUST UNDERSTOOD. I thought you was talking about max sells… This would make no sense…
