Working on a "Reactor CORE" type game [Devlog]

That seems like a bit too much. I don’t mean to get too personal here, but a close acquaintance of mine worked at the NASA White Sands Test Facility. We toured the grounds and even entered the room where they manage all the satellites. There are colored lights on the ceiling to indicate certain alerts or notices to the staff in that room and in a few other locations such as the server management room, but none are located in the hallways or standard offices.

I also think it would be more dramatic if the lights would turn off as the reactor was about to explode, with the facility being lit by lights that are run on auxiliary power (emergency lights, sirens, exit signs, maintenance lights, etc.)

I understand that it’s your game and that you get to choose what makes it in and what doesn’t, but I’m just trying to offer some recommendations that I hope you will consider, to make this game as immersive as possible.

EDIT: One last thing, could you make the ceiling lights not fade to red? Having the lights immediately turn red rather than fade could startle players and give them a sense of panic to help with immersion.
