I’ve been playing some R2DA recently, and the maps are… interesting. Of them, I thought Casius Outpost was neat but I thought that it had some shortcomings in its layout and detail spread.
As a thought experiment, I set about designing a layout based on Casius Outpost, which I dubbed Casius Spaceport. This layout is just that: a layout. It has no detail whatsoever, and only serves to define the playable areas. Large, cover-providing props and handrails have not been added.
The layout is based off of an airport concourse with shops lining the walls. It’s not exactly an airport in function, as there are apartments and greenhouses and science labs in the same building, but the general function remains the same: serve as a hub for transport.
Most of the locations in Casius Outpost are included in Casius Spaceport, but some were dropped and some were added. Notably, instead of an out of order door blocking the path to a ship, I have created a building to support rocket launches for the purpose of having a Campaign mission.
When viewing, please keep in mind this is only a layout and not a completed map. To those who are well-versed in map building, what do you think of the layout? I think that the layout is well-suited to R2DA.

Patrons can get a view of every launch

An equipment storage facility to service launches and the exhaust tunnel for the rocket
