I see alot of detailed union work, the issue is that they lag quite much.
So I just wanted to suggest that Decals get an additional parameter: Normal map
You can set a decal image and add a normal map to it to fake depth.
For those that don’t know about bumpmaps, this is the difference between regular texture and bumpmap:

As is I believe this would only work with sunlight. Voxel lighting has no directionality. Zeuxcg’s hack week project implemented it for material textures but said it needed some work. Still I would really like to see this feature in the future but it would definitely look much nicer when any light source in the game will be able to reflect off the texture.
