Team Create has precision issues

I recently tried out Team Create for one of my games.

I noticed that every time I open my place in edit mode (or play it), some of the rail tracks are rotated slightly (for example, rotation (0, 58.1, 0) becomes (0.002, 58.098, 0.002)). Normally these small changes shouldn’t matter that much, however with rail pieces over 2000 studs long (it’s a physics-based game), these minor rotation changes result in track pieces misaligning, causing my trains to crash and derail :frowning:. Even if I correct the values in a session and publish them, the next time I load my pieces are misaligned again.

Yesterday I decided to go back to normal studio mode and now everything stays where it should.
Would be really appreciated if someone from staff could look into this.

This isn’t an issue with Team Create. It’s an issue with all places. Luckily it’s already been internally logged by ROBLOX.

I would not say it’s related to that issue.

The thing here is that this imprecision is caused by publishing the game (not rotating the part using a tool, as your source describes).
Note that when I publish the same game with TeamCreate disabled, it does not have this imprecision. I think it’s related to TeamCreate; either something goes wrong at the way changes are communicated to the TeamCreate server, or something goes wrong when publishing.

We’re aware of some floating point replication issues with Team Create.

It’s been awhile, and I’d like to see this get fixed soon please . I realize now Team Create is why my roads are getting so badly manipulated. Roads are falling apart due to floating point errors - #11 by blobbyblob

This bug STILL happens. Is it getting fixed?
It happens with both Position and Orientation
