Animation Lab was only supposed to be a tech demo. I’m working on an RPG right now, and it needs to have character models that look awesome
Unlike most of my collab posts, this one a bit more long-term (weeks-months)
I’m only going to use something that I really like. This will probably require lots of fine-tuning.
Feel free to try; stay in touch with me and I’ll make sure you don’t feel totally ripped off if I don’t use your work; no promises I’ll use what you make, but I’ll pay you something regardless. I’d like to have multiple people try; It’s super hard to get right.
I’ll cover the tax.
I’m not 100% sure where this will go. Message me on rbxdev or reply to this post if you’re interested, can refer me to someone, or have questions
Details
Character models I need (we can start with one):
Man, Woman
Extra models I probably need:
Clothing (decal textures would be great): shirts, pants, gloves, shoes.
Horse, monsters, dogs, cats, weapons, armor, etc. etc. etc.
You should probably find reference images to base proportions off of.
Center:
Head, Neck, TorsoUpper, TorsoLower, Ears (So long as they don’t look ridiculous)
Left/Right:
ArmUpper, ArmLower, Hand, Could use multiple parts, or be in a set of static poses
LegUpper, LegLower, Foot
Ideally the characters parts would all be meshes, but it looks like that’s out of the picture for now.
Goals:
[ul]
[li]Looks like a simplified human[/li]
[li]Doesn’t look creepy[/li]
[li]Good head/face[/li]
[li]Medium number of triangles[/li]
[li]Minimal gross CSG seams[/li]
[/ul]
It doesn’t need to be ridiculously complex. If you can make something that’s simple and looks good, all the better.
