:rainbow: LGBTQ Official Group Regulations


Please take note that these rules are to be applied and abided by through our in-game experiences, alongside communications server experiences, and your group-page presence. Consequences will be initiated if any of the regulations are to be avoided or broken.

Group regulations are subject to editations, adaptions, and alterations at any time without notice to the public. Enforcement of group regulations is crucial to community safety and will therefore be taken seriously.

Violation Key

Violating a given regulation or guideline may result in consequences based entirely on the action and severity. Additional factors may include, but are not limited to: community impact, individuals involved, rank/role, time with community, age, etc. Below is a key to assist you in understanding generic violation severity.

:warning: Warning

  • Receive a warning that will be recorded under your Roblox User ID. Members are subjected to 3 warnings prior to greater consequences occurring. Staff members are subjected to 1 warning prior to greater consequences occurring.

:mute: Mute

  • Receive a mute that will be recorded under your Roblox User ID. Being muted will restrict your ability to communicate with others, but will allow your ability to participate solemnly. Mutes can be temporary or permanent. Additionally, the ability to redact and appeal a mute are acceptable. Staff members cannot receive a mute, but rather greater consequences.

:wave:Dismissal

  • Receive a dismissal from LGBTQ that will be recorded under your Roblox User ID. Being dismissed from LGBTQ will temporarily restrict your ability to access and participate in the community, where access will be re-granted upon re-entry. Similar to a kick, a dismissal removes you from the community temporarily. For staff members, a dismissal means the complete removal from the LGBTQ Staff Team with the ability to rejoin at a later time.

:x: Blacklisting

  • Receive a blacklisting from LGBTQ that will be recorded under your Roblox User ID. Being blacklisted from LGBTQ will completely restrict your ability to access and participate in the community, with an exception from the blacklisting appeal application located in the group Resource Center. Blacklistings can be temporary or permanent. Additionally, the ability to redact and appeal a mute are acceptable. Staff members are eligible for blacklistings upon an Executive Team voting.

1 | Admiration

  • 1.1
    ▴ Admiration: coined as, “respect”, “praise”, “esteem”, “complimentary”, “pride”, or “genuine”.
  • 1.2
    ▴ Maintain respect and admiration for all of LGBTQ’s Staff, their decisions, and actions, alongside other community members during your entire time with LGBTQ. This includes in group games, social media handles, communication servers, and other external services that LGBTQ is represented on.
  • 1.3 :warning:
    ▴ You are entirely titled to your own opinions, thoughts, and ideas outside of LGBTQ, but bringing them into the community and disrupting peace will result consequences**.

2 | Promotional Notes

  • 2.1
    ▴ Promotional Notes: coined as, “advertisements”, “ads”, “promos”, “bulletin”, “commercial”, or “pamphlet”.
  • 2.2
    ▴ Promoting or advertising your services, the services of groups other than LGBTQ’s approved affiliates, and other non-affiliated LGBTQ platforms. LGBTQ’s approved affiliates may take part in group-wide promotional efforts as long as they: comply with Roblox’s Terms of Services, comply with LGBTQ’s group standards, and comply with LGBTQ’s group guidelines.
  • 2.3
    ▴ Screenshots, images, quotations, and excerpts are allowed, with the permission of the service owner.
  • 2.4 :warning:
    ▴ This includes, but is not limited to, direct message advertisement, community advertisement via Discord, community advertisement via LGBTQ’s group wall, staff advertisement via LGBTQ’s group shout, and within LGBTQ promoted services.
  • 2.5
    ▴ Promotional guidelines are disregarded during advertisement seasonal allowance periods, such as given weeks that are publicly announced and recognized. During these periods, members are given the opportunity to promote their services, groups, or events through platforms that LGBTQ associates with and gives the opportunity to do so.

3 | Unsolicited Content

  • 3.1
    ▴ Unsolicited Content: coined as, “spamming”, “nuking”, “repetitive remarks”.
  • 3.2 :warning:
    ▴ Spamming any channel within LGBTQ’s communication server, LGBTQ’s social media handles, group pages, or any other software or resource connected or affiliated with LGBTQ, with invitational links, images, videos, gifs, attachments, pings, or other context that either floods the service or disrupts the community is prohibited.
  • 3.3 :warning:
    ▴ Nuking, otherwise coined as executing bot commands, or executing staff or consumer requests via graphical interfaces to cause a disturbance within a given service, or to gain an advantage against other members of the community isn’t tolerated.
  • 3.4 :warning:
    ▴ This includes, but is not limited to, ghost pings, spam-pinging, and role-pinging without a purpose, alongside additional assistance tools via LGBTQ’s games or given services.

4 | Hostile Scrimmages

  • 4.1
    ▴ Hostile Scrimmages: coined as, “raiding”, “storming”, “striking”, “blitzing”, or “assaulting”.
  • 4.2 :warning: :mute:
    ▴ Attempting to, being involved in, starting, participating within, or supporting the development of a hostile scrimmage to LGBTQ’s services, affiliated programs, services, or groups, is not an acceptable action and will result in user blacklisting.
  • 4.3 :warning: :mute:
    ▴ This includes, but is not limited to, the overwhelming flood of people to LGBTQ’s group games, group wall, other services provided by LGBTQ, affiliated services and their platforms, communicative platforms connected to LGBTQ’s affiliative aspects, or LGBTQ’s social media handles is not acceptable.
  • 4.4 :warning: :mute:
    ▴ The same actions against other groups, whether they support the LGBTQ community, are affiliated with LGBTQ, or disagree with LGBTQ concepts, or participating in the attempt to do so, will result in your blacklisting for attempting to initiate conflict with other organizations.

5 | Infelicitous Content

  • 5.1
    ▴ Infelicitous Content: coined as, “not safe for work”, “NSFW”, “inappropriate content”, “vulgar”.
  • 5.2 :x:
    ▴ Posting images, videos, gifs, invitational links, attachments, or other content that is directly correlated to inappropriate content and is unsuitable for members of the community that are under the age of 18, and are considered the minor majority.
  • 5.3 :x:
    ▴ Gore, harmful content, or sensitive content is treated similarly and is prohibited.
  • 5.4 :warning: :wave:
    ▴ Conversation regarding or related to religious content. This includes conversation built-on through a religious basis, regardless of the given religion, context and reasoning behind the conversation, and any information discussed during the conversation. Religion does not reserve a place in LGBTQ’s services, programs, or platforms; whether affiliated or not.

6 | Oppressive Advancements

  • 6.1
    ▴ Oppressive Advancements: coined as, “bullying”, “harassment”, “punitive”, “repressive”, “inexorable”, “merciless”.
  • 6.2 :wave: :x:
    ▴ Engaging in harassing, threatening, or advancing oppressive content against Staff members, community members, and others whilst in LGBTQ is prohibited.
  • 6.3 :wave: :x:
    ▴ Other speech and topics that must be avoided include, but are not limited to, hate speech, derogatory slurs or phrases, deadly or life-costly events, self-influenced death, health or mental disorders, intimate context, etc.
  • 6.4 :wave: :x:
    ▴ Trigger warnings aren’t required via any space within our community, as they provide a precursor to information that may be unsettling, which shouldn’t be shared to begin with. No sharing of information that may be harmful to others is allowed. This goes to same way for other preliminary warnings, as those actions are unacceptable, and are prohibited. You should not engage in sharing information, such as “venting”, to give people a review of a situation or lifestyle, if it may cause external social problems, or issues.

7 | Applicable Intent

  • 7.1
    ▴ Applicable Intent: coined as, “appropriate usage”, “correctly used,” “well-executed”, “following regulations”.
  • 7.2 :wave:
    ▴ LGBTQ’s services are not to be exploited, taken advantage of, or abused in any manner. Services that mustn’t be abused include, but are not limited to, communication server bots, channels, support members or staff, moderational API or UI via games, centers, or other third-party affiliated services or platforms directly affiliated with LGBTQ.
  • 7.3 :wave:
    ▴ Attempting to inappropriately participate in the exploitation of the previously listed services, to either waste the time of others or staff, cause issues related to the uptime or runtime of the service, or to cause excessive abuse to others is prohibited.
  • 7.4 :mute:
    ▴ Including pinging users or staff members, without needing assistance, or having the proper reason to do so.
  • 7.5 :x:
    ▴ Attempting to persuade members of your character, characteristics, or identity to a false claim, such as the act of creating a false identity is deemed inappropriate and is thereby prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to establishing a basis upon which you act as a representative for an affiliated group, act as a moderator, administrator, or owner of an accompanying service or platform, and the act of representing yourself or someone else as an individual or service that they are not, nor do they represent themself.

8 | Moderational Evasion

  • 8.1
    ▴ Moderational Evasion: coined as, “avoidance”, “elusion”, “bypassing”.
  • 8.2 :x:
    ▴ Attempting to create additional accounts to actively avoid moderational actions, such as a kick or ban, is prohibited.
  • 8.3 :x:
    ▴ Attempting to remove content or files that a user has sent to assist in their protection is prohibited.
  • 8.4 :x:
    ▴ Attempting to find loop-holes or ways around moderational actions or regulations, is considered exploitation of preset guidelines and is prohibited.

9 | Explicatory Speech

  • 9.1
    ▴ Explicatory Speech: coined as, “explicit language”, “vulgar”, “offensive”, “distasteful”, “obscene”, “lewd”.
  • 9.2 :warning:
    ▴ Explicit language is acceptable within LGBTQ’s communications server, but is not tolerated elsewhere.
  • 9.3 :mute:
    ▴ The exchange of explicit language must be at a minimal level, as some content is regarded as harassment and oppressive. This includes, but is not limited to, hate speech, homophobic/transphobic slurs or phrases, racial slurs or phrases, threats, etc.
  • 9.4 :x:
    ▴ Attempting to bypass our moderational filter is prohibited. You aren’t given permission, nor allowed to participate in sharing explicit language throughout LGBTQ’s group games, pages, walls, shouts, or channels.

10 | Services and Acceptability

  • 10.1
    ▴ Services and Acceptability: coined as, “terms of service”, “preliminary acceptance rules”, “terms to agree upon”.
  • 10.2 :x:
    ▴ In addition to the previously listed terms that you must accept to be present within LGBTQ, you are expected to follow all of Roblox’s Terms of Services, alongside those of any additional services we provide and use, including, but not limited to, Discord, DevForum, Trello, YouTube, and Twitter.
