1870's American Steam Locomotive

I decided to post some pics of an 1870’s american steam locomotive I am building. I am looking for people who have experience in scripting trains to bring this to life as I lack any scripting ability.

Nice job with the spark arrester on the stack. Obviously a wood-burner with a stack like that. One thing though: please remember that all trains have the driver on the right hand side.

That npc is just for scaling. Also he is on the firemen’s side of the locomotive. Its on the firemens side because the engineers side is incomplete.

Derp. I forgot about what you do. Sorry for doubting you. I wanted to make sure it was proper because geico480 is hell-bent on putting drivers on the left (and they aren’t long hood forwards) and it irks me.

Left hand driver seats or riot! Whenever I made right hand ones, I was told I was wrong. I also noted some simulator games put the bonnet as the front and others put it as the rear (for deisel switchers). :swag:

The direction of the hood depends on who bought the engine. Some ran long-hood forwards, some ran short-hood forwards, and rarely there would be dual controls. Driver seat side was never, ever in flux. The only way people would say right-hand control is wrong is if 1) they have no idea how trains work, 2) they assume that North America is still under control of the British Empire, or 3) they think trains are cars.

Or they’ve been told both sides are wrong.
