the dock and the setting remind me of Some Like it Hot
For some reason it looks like it should have somewhat of a sepia filter. Don’t overdo it, but I’m thinking something like:

you will probably be able to do this by changing the Ambient to something brown.
I’ll suggest this to him.
The buildings definitely stand out for that time period. Also, nice intention to detail.
