1st ever Blender model, a Donut

Hello!

I’m here to showcase my first ever blender model.

I’ve followed a tutorial by someone you all already know of, Blender Guru. I watched their tutorial and started the next day and was able to remember all the keybinds and stuff and I’m actually happy I was able to keep at least some of the mesh quality before I imported into roblox studio to use for my game.

Any feedback on what I can do to make the model look better in terms of triangles and overall shape would be awesome. I’ve had 0 experience with blender before and I’m happy I was able to do this.

:camera_flash:Roblox Picture: screenshot was used for a screenshot to show my discord so it may look weird

It might not look like it has a texture but it does have a Texture file, just hard to notice in the 3D Viewer, and I also know a donut isn’t a very advanced shape and I definitely have other shapes in mind

I really like it! Even for a model, it looks delicious.

Thanks! Anything you think I could change with this? I really wanted to add sprinkles but I would have went over the 10,000 triangle limit, which is honestly sad.

Maybe round the bottom of the bun? I don’t think real life donuts have that road in the middle of the bun. And more colors, of course!

This was actually intentional! I’m not an artist so I suck at shading but some donuts have this thing where they are cooked in a specific way and it leaves a road looking detail in the center because it’s cooked less in that area causing it to look like that.

Also yes I agree I should definitely shade some more “donut” like texture on there.

just to note, some donuts have a bigger crease in the center than others. This was simply the best picture I could find of as an example
