2 players 1 animation

I’ve been gone awhile and I can’t help but wonder if there is a way to connect two players to one animation… For example: execution aka finishing off a low hralth/knocked down player, dodging attacks, etc.

Well, you can but you also can’t (as far as I’m aware). You can use a plugin such as Moon Animation Suite (I think that was what it was called) and animate with two or more rigs at once, but when exporting the animation it exports both KeyframeSequences of the rigs in question. You’ll have to play the animation on both players.

I’m just really wanting to just have better timing and positioning without all the headache

You can do that with Moon Animation Suite, being similar to the default ROBLOX Animation Editor but you can operate with a lot more tools. I recommend checking it out; it’s a great tool to use.

The way people normally do this is with welds and manual CFrame animation. If you experiment with connecting certain parts via welds then you should be able to find a technique that works with your animation. If it’s a fighting game for example, you would set up the weld when the hit connects, disable the other player’s controls, play some kind of animation for them, and then resume their control later when you disconnet the weld. There aren’t any good guides for this on the wiki so it’s a matter of experimenting and trying stuff out.

I’m trying to create really nice cinematic combat without having to get fancy. I may just have to use a lot of body position and placing … rip

If you’ve ever played a dragon ball game or any anime game(not on roblox) when they use a special skill it gets all fancy that’s what I’m trying to do.

Yea it requires a lot of work to set up especially with Roblox. But once you do figure it out, you can always set up some functions for it and it’ll be just as easy as the alternatives.

I’ll probably make a personal plug in, I don’t like repeating stuff at all.

You don’t need to use CFrame animation if you do as @DesiredFlamingFire suggested; Moon Animation Suite is a very useful tool that functions similarly to the Roblox Animation Editor with added functionality, such as multi rig animations.

No cframe for me, those days are over. Just gonna do animations and tweaking the players position to line up
