2-step verification freezing

Basically, when I am trying to log in, 2 step verification pops up, and when I solve it, it keeps loading for an eternity, and then closes with a message under the login button saying: “Something went wrong, please try again later.”! Thank you Roblox for miserably locking me out of my account!

(this bug is in the Microsoft Store version of the Roblox app)

System Info:

Intel (R) Pentium (R) CPU G2010 @ 2.80 GHz

Memory 8 GB

HD-SSD-C100 240G ATA Device

Expected behavior

What I expected to happen was the 2-step verification would close and I would be logged in, but no, I am locked out of my account permanently due to this bug!!!

Log in using the website. When you play a game, the Microsoft store version should open and be automatically logged in.

do you have a VPN running? a lot of stuff was broken for me and disconnecting my VPN fixed it

No, I do not have a VPN on or something.

Hey @dswqsa895—the team was not able to reproduce this issue with the latest version of the app from the Microsoft Store.

Please let us know if this continues to happen for you!

Edit: We actually were able to reproduce this after a few efforts. I will update this thread when we have more information.

@dswqsa895 Hello, if you have access to another device, check if the problem is the same. Normally not, otherwise it would come from your account. Yes, VPNs can be the cause. Check that none of your programs are causing it. Try removing two-step verification in your account settings. :slight_smile:

Hey all—we have identified the root cause of this issue and shipped a fix.

You should be able to log in normally after restarting the app.

That’s crazy because it’s happening to me on my phone even when I reset it. Every time I enter the password it just loads infinitely no matter what I’ve tried. It’s an issue still
