Does this opportunity require experience in languages such as C++? I’m mildly interested in the opportunity as a Roblox developer, but most of my programming experience is with languages like Python & Lua.

Hi there! Lua is preferred for this opportunity, I hope this helps!

What about Luau? Id prefer to use Luau instead of Lua if thats possible.

Hi there! Unfortunately, one of the assessment tools we use called CodeSignal doesn’t ingest Luau - it does take Lua. However, when you get to our interview rounds, you’ll be able to use Luau.

I hope this helps!

Will there be/are there opportunities like this for creators under 18?

Ah I see thats unfortunate, it would be nice if support for Luau was added in the feature tho for future applicants. Maybe Roblox is able request support for Luau?

The differences are going to be negligible for the tests you’ll likely be doing.

Don’t worry, early round interviews aren’t a place where the difference would matter.

You’d be missing out on continue and doing loops without pairs but that’s about it. Early round interviews are mostly about assessing your general knowledge and problem solving skills, not about writing the most beautiful code possible with typing and everything.

I see, thank you for the info.

Hi there! Unfortunately at this time, we don’t have opportunities for individuals under the age of 18.

Is this program expected to continue for the next few years? I’m unsure if I’ll be able to do 2025 right now, but 2026 is more likely.

I like the idea of internships targeting developers from Roblox’s community, because it brings a lot of dogfooding opportunities for Roblox & its developers.

Great question! We hope to continue to grow the program year over year. And we totally agree - this program is a great opportunity for us to learn directly from our developers while giving them the opportunity to have hands-on impact at Roblox!

Too bad I’m not 18- this seems really nice.

The job posting talks about H1-B and F-1 visas, but what about J-1 visas? Will Roblox sponsor J-1 visas?

If an institution isn’t listed under the school drop down, is it sufficient to just list it in our resume?

Does an anomaly occur if applying for both the apprenticeship and internship?

Hi there! We take immigration requests on a case by case basis and have supported J-1s in the past. I hope this helps.
