Me and rosepink1838 are hiring software engineers

Is this remote or is this essentially a job offer that may transfer from remote to full-time HQ employee?

I can’t even find the school I went in, I just put “Other”.

If this is USA only again, then gg. I could not express my rage over all this. I don’t even know what to write anymore or how it is reviewed, that I lost fate putting effort whenever they write out applications.

This one for instance describes as being the critical bridge between internal and triple AAA Studios, but they already can’t even be the bridge the bugs we reported in that one Roblox Program to the internal teams at all times.

Like the bent elbows from Animation Retargeting. Now, it could have been a mistake. But I don’t believe so anymore.

It says “or an equivalent practical experience” as well, in other words if you have enough experience you could get hired too. Unless I missed something. It does give the option for “Non-degree seeking” under degree.

I mean, they’d bring you to the USA, I think. Whatever is easier for both, I don’t know. But I’d imagine so.

They could do remote or something, but either they don’t want to, or they don’t know about international stuff. I remember reading the first Community Apprenticeship, back in many years ago, which would explicitly say that they’d invite you to the USA, no matter where you’d be from.
I don’t mind remote or not remote. But I think they’d pick someone from USA over the other way, unlike a few years ago.

Hey @rosepink1838 ,

thanks for posting about this exciting role! As a EU-based candidate I would like to ask if the role is on-site only or if it would be possible to be employed over a payroll company or over your GmbH based in Germany?

I am looking forward to your answer!

Sincerely,
GameComposer

You’re very outdated. This is also for a full time position which typically have onsite expectations these days. Roblox RTO’d a few years ago and they’re very rigid on permitting new remote employees except in exceptional cases. The majority of the most skilled people I know are not based in North America, which makes onsite requirements a terrible waste of talent, passion, and domain knowledge.

Oh how much I hate being in the UK, even after actively studying a software engineering degree.

Roblox is looking for a unicorn hire tho.

Find a Roblox dev of multiple years who too has a background enough in programming to warrant keeping them as a full-time dev on site. And one that’s in the US cause they’re not paying 100k whatever visa for someone to come to the US.

It’s in person, on-site, at the HQ in San Mateo. Not remote, and not a transitional thing.

It’d say in the job sub info, where it says the HQ location. Other jobs on Roblox career page show remote if it’s remote.

Oh yeah, the description didn’t clearly mention it so couldn’t understand it at first, thanks.

They don’t. In the post it says

For US based roles only, please note the Company may not be able to employ candidates for this role who have United States work authorization related to certain U.S. visa categories, or support future H-1B sponsorship at this time.

Meaning if you’re not from the US they won’t sponsor you.
