I have a pretty simple question - is it possible to get player’s gender that they have selected?

No, Roblox considers this personal information, you are going to have to ask for their gender at the start of a game using a GUI. (Edit: read @weakroblox35’s posts below, you have to ask for the Character’s gender instead to comply with TOS)

Oh, this is strange because I have seen games do this before. Maybe if you added an option to not specify the gender that would help? I don’t know the specifics because I haven’t read the full Roblox TOS.
You cannot directly ask the player what their gender is, you have to ask what gender THEIR character, it’s a strange loophole but it works.

Ah, that makes sense. Does Roblox actually enforce this or is it just one of those things they wrote into TOS and forgot about? Regardless, though, better safe than banned.
Enforced since roblox takes personal information seriously, asking a player phone number is same as asking their gender according to tos.
