2D Rigidbody physics question

So I’ve run into a small confusion when it come’s to rigid bodies. I understand kinematics and everything, but I can’t seem to understand how exactly I would add rotation into the equation. Like generating a new rotation for both objects after they hit each other.

How do I then calculate the new rotations and velocities, and how would I add the new velocity onto a scalar rotation?

I will accept any resources or youtube videos of it. I would prefer someone does help me understand this though.
