At the moment its for PC only as I cant figure out how to disable mobile back and forth movement. But ill get it soon
There are only 3 checkpoints. I want to add more stages, but first I want to make the game look as good as possible. So any feedback will help so much!
I can see multiple different art styles here, so it’s a bit confusing and messy. It’s most obvious when you look at how non-pixelated the character is combined with the slideshowish movement and hand drawn background…
The hitboxes for the obstacles are also too big, I kept dying to nothing when it came to the spikes.
You want it to be 3D obby instead? I don’t get it…
love it so far. charming artstyle and music, jumping over obstacles feels satisfying and smooth. the spike hitboxes just need to be adjusted to be more accurate.
Noo I think he meant not to use pixelated images instead use 3D objects but with depth in the camera which would seem to be 3D but in mobility it’s 2D like just A&D
Okay I heard a lot about the spike, turns out the kill part behind it was a little bigger then the actual picture. But I have fixed it, should be a perfect
Player & camera movement is very smooth and well done.
Obstacles are simple and easy to understand, although there is a lack of variety. Some
new ones such as falling obstacles or rising obstacles from the ground would be neat.
The sudden pause when reaching a checkpoint is a bit weird, I’m guessing its how you’re
changing the player’s team and respawn point, along with saving it. If possible, turning
CanCollide off on this would be a neat QOL change. Otherwise, this doesn’t really affect
anything too much.
World:
This retro 2D atmosphere is very nostalgic, but also original. Well done.
The background of a blue sky & clouds is neat and simple, but maybe some distant
mountains or something in the far background could bring it home.
Overall:
This is one of the coolest and most well executed 2D obbies I’ve seen on ROBLOX. I loved games like Mario and Sonic as a kid, and this brought back that nostalgia very well. I can’t wait to see where this goes, keep it up!
