I am documenting my progress learning to script. The first week I went through and watched DevKings basic tutorial series and then his advanced series. Despite some of his videos being outdated I was quickly able to apply the knowledge I learned from it to the Roblox Documentation and learn on my own without the help of youtube videos.
Working on my own has taught me far faster then I could of imagined and I used many things very basic and advanced to script what I made.
Note: I have been 3D Modeling for 2 years now but wanted to keep these projects strictly to scripting (which is why the UI and 3D Models are so ugly.)
Some of things below include…
- Flag Capture System (used to gain passive income)
- Bank Robbery System (gain cash by stealing it)
- Group/Team Bank system (that stores data)
I feel like I could of made these systems much more detailed if I wanted to but I rather move on and focus on learning other things now such as combat systems. I only spent 3-4 days on it but I could of spent weeks. I don’t really feel limited on what I could do because it really is easy to program once you understand the fundamentals and you understand how to read the Roblox documentation.
