Mini Empires v0.7.1 changelog

New map, mechanics, skin collections, limited-time skins, cross-server lobby chat, bug fixes, QoL and more!

Make sure to get the new limited-time Steampunk collection which is only available for 7 days! :sparkles:


New additions

  • Added new map “Barrens”.

  • Added new bush terrain which introduces a new camouflage mechanic allowing units to hide in them. This terrain can be found in the new “Barrens” map.

  • Introducing a new blueprint prebuilding mechanic which allows blueprints to be placed temporarily without any friendly units nearby to reduce the need for micro management.

  • Added “Steampunk” limited-time skins which are only purchasable for 7 days.

  • Added a cross-server chat to the lobby with a global channel and party channel.

  • Added ping and fps performance stats to the top-left corner of the screen.

  • Players can now see their ally’s position in real-time during matches. Spectators can see all the remaining players’ positions.


Changes

  • In ambush; the loading screen will be shown until the map has been initialized and covered in fog. No more peeping at other players’ spawns while the map is initializing.

  • The builders that are closest to blueprints are now prioritized to be auto-assigned to them.

  • Hexagonal range indicators have made their way back in response to feedback from the community.

  • Camera panning precision has been improved (middle mouse button / touch).


Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug where win streaks were still reset to 0 after winning a match. Should now correctly take new wins into account.

  • Fixed a bug where selection UI would overlap.

  • Fixed a bug where players were unable to join custom matches during the pre-match timer.
