I am trying to achieve 3D layered clothes just like Dress To Impress does.
The usual roblox 3d layered clothes stack in a weird way, they change shapes and all that tho on Dress To Impress the 3d clothes dont interact with each other they just sit on the body nicely and animate with it.
I’ve tried to make it work before but i can’t understand if they’re using actual Roblox 3d layered clothes or just meshes that SOMEHOW wrap to the body so they animate with it.
I really can’t find anything about this topic and i’m really confused as to how you an achieve such layered clothing.

I’m positive that they use their own meshes that they have made specifically for the game, they’re probably modeling the clothes on top of the basic rig they have and weight painting each set of clothes individually so it morphs with whatever animation is playing. What you can do is make a base mesh (the player body) and model multiple sets of clothes on the same mesh, then weight paint each set of clothes on the rig and it should morph correctly for your animations.
