3d mesh shoe/heel help? (non layered clothing)

  1. What do you want to achieve?
heels/platformed shoes. ive made a custom character mesh with heeled feet to facilitate heels, and trying various ways, the most simple one is adding the shoes as shoe accessories, right? it all works well except…

  2. What is the issue?
the platform of the heel clips significantly into the ground because accessories cant have collision on?

(note the lighter pink are at the base of the heel, thats how much is clipping! basically anything below the foot
if i go the “attach a mesh to foot” way i wouldnt be able to do proper knee length shoes (bent around ankle) or thigh length shoes (bent around knee)

  3. What solutions have you tried so far? i couldnt find anything on the forums, youtube tutorials cut after modeling. Ive tried turning the heels into regular accessories, clothing accessories, making them a pants clothing accessory, using the “attach the mesh to foot” method n more really. a lot of them have resulted in funny bugs…

basically i want to achieve what the game “dress to impress” has done with their clothing system (specifically shoes). how its not layered clothing, but it still deforms if that makes sense :3rd_place_medal:

update! the clipping into the floor thing can be fixed by adjusting hipheight in humanoid, but still not sure how to achieve boots or similar long shoes, any help is appreciated!!

fixed it !!

when modeling the shoes you should rig them if they go above the foot joint or knee joint
when imported to studio in my case you have to turn the main part of the shoe/sole of the shoe into a shoe accessory then weld all the different pieces to it if needed (for recoloring reasons)
then adjust hipheight

if theres enough wiggle room at the joints it should work fine with no clipping :)))
