Hello there, so my biggest project that I would ever want to work is construct a hotel game for a hotel group that I made last year. I aim to build, model, animate the player actions and script the whole hotel which might be very ambitious for most developers.
How I want the final outcome of my game is to be a fully functional hotel with a cartoony design. Although these may seem like a basic idea but these ideas will branch out to newer ideas in the future.
I am in the early production phase and I decided it would be a wise idea to 3D model some of my assets that I drew, I thought it would be best to put some of these assets into existence into my game. Feel free to suggest new 3D models that I could make on my development journey, or even improve some of the 3D models that I have for the game.
I haven’t fully designed any of the hill models yet, here is a prototype of how they would look. This had been used by the cloth mechanics off blender, if there are any better ways to make hills with a cartoonish look let me know.
Here is a sample of how the palm trees could look, however having multiple palm trees with different designs could remove synergy on the game.
Even though this might be a minor detail, should a flame be added to these candles? These candles would be put onto tables, however what needs to be considered is the number of effects used on these candles. This could potentially slow down the server and lag client devices that have less hardware resources.
I decided to add definition on these tree models where the tree stump is, what are your personal thoughts?
If anyone decides to respond with ideas, it will be much apricated since it will help me with extra ideas in the future.
