3D View for Shirts/Pants

The new 3D view is really awesome! (It’s from Roblox and not a random plugin, right? :emo-angst: ) It’s very cool that you can see hats and users in 3D but I still can’t see the back of shirts and pants :stuck_out_tongue: I hope that feature comes out soon.

Don’t forget models,
I hate having to open up studio just to see the back of one.

If you do make it for models, make a “3D view enabled” option, because I purposely hide some models with ThumbnailCameras.

Model would probably be a bad idea. Some are huge.

Notice how theyre only enabling it on Roblox-uploaded stuff?

But on topic: Ye shirts and pants

Why not anything for sale or free?

maybe a part limit for 3d models?

Alas, these updates are making RDR less and less useful.

Are these 3D views the start of a “try asset on/test gear” button on the catalog?

If you know what you’re doing you can try out anything with Studio:

workspace:InsertContent(“http://www.roblox.com/asset/?id=1234567890”)

That will only work with plug-ins or the command bar and can insert:
Public Models
Any Clothing Object (for sale or not)
Hats
Faces
Gear
Body Parts (CharacterMeshes)

I haven’t tested since the latest updates to security but you can also insert uncopylocked places with that command.

The purpose behind RDR was to give users who don’t know what they’re doing the ability to try on assets from the catalog.

I was planning on updating the game and fixing some bugs, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it, if a official try-out feature might be coming out soon…

3D Shirts & Pants - coming soon
3D Models - never
3D Places - press the play button

Some models I use for InsertService to update places that were created by the CreatePlace API

I have to use models to insert the map.
