[3D]How to make low poly trees in blender help!

Hi there!
Thank you for checking out my post so before I jump to anything I just have to say that the title and problem itself sounds very primitive and I am somewhat new to blender.

I have been having a hard time trying to make a pine tree(leaves) and the leaves of a coconut tree. I did try YouTube but I couldn’t find helpful videos because most were outdated and YouTube doesn’t really work out for me when it comes to these kinds of things.

if someone could help I would really appreciate it. :+1:

I have a similar complaint with youtube, I hate learning off of it. Anyways, here is what I suggest you doing. Get the basic shape down with a block. Use a reference if you need it. Get it curved, and dont do a sloppy job. Then, ctrl r (subdivide) along the top, then the side. You can do this at the last face so it does the entire thing. The top face should have a + on it. Then go to the smooth tool and experiment. You will find it may take a few trys, but this is how I would go about it.

Gonna have to agree with @Jaudr3y. I started the same way, never watched 1 video. I did have a reference though so it doesn’t look like the equinox hair or anything lol.

This depends on how you learn, for me I used a simple tree tutorial from youtube and branched off from there.

You don’t have to follow everything in the video step-by-step, just get a general idea of what you need/want to do and create your own designs.

Hope these help! :- )
