3RD NOOB DIVISION
FORT SOLSTICE RAID GUIDE
BASIC INFORMATION
Fort Solstice is a heavily vehicle-based raid map. Raiding groups with no prior knowledge of our map will automatically assume defenders acquire better gear than raiders, but this is not the case! There are several mechanics to the vehicles in this game.
This guide will show raiding groups how to utilize the vehicles in our game.
BATTLE OBJECTIVE
Fort Solstice is based on a domination-type game mode. There are three points (A, B, and C) that will give 1 point per second to the team that holds the point. The winner is decided when one team reaches 3000 total points.
Point A is located next to the fort’s forward checkpoint (be careful of our sonar fence - it will kill you if you walk through it; the main road is not affected by the sonar fence).
Point B is located in the middle of the city.
Point C is located in the forest near the highway exit.
VEHICLES
As of 3/15/21, there are 4 types of vehicles currently in the game:
- Jeeps
- Armored personnel carriers (APCs)
- Battle tanks
- Heavy tank destroyers
In Fort Solstice, tanks have an armor system. This varies per tank model, but below will elaborate on the mechanics.
Jeeps and APCs do not have any armor and will be destroyed by a single shot from a tank.
IMPORTANT: Heavy tank destroyers will only spawn in for the losing team. It will spawn in when one team is 20 points ahead of the other.
TANK ARMOR
Normal battle tanks usually have armor situated on the hull front and turret front.
Tank destroyers have armor on the hull front + sides and the turret front.
Highlighted red parts are armored and will protect against shells (artillery rounds excluded).
