60K Ads - little to no visits (roblox down? refund?)

My friend has a little problem where he sponsored over 60k

  • 30k sponsorship 13-16
  • 30k sponsorship 17+

And receives little to no visits

The ads have been running for a few hours now

The game doesn’t fail to retain players too - as most players that are actually playing are progressing and staying in

The ad space has become more cluttered due to Roblox’s latest update. Also, the game might not have appealing branding.

It’s not Roblox’s fault.
You should never sponsor over 10K a day.
Make sure you have tested the results with smaller sums first, whether if the targeted audience is precisely chosen and whether the icon is appealing.
Wouldn’t spend 60K to buy a small lesson. :frowning:
Try to reflect from the experience to gain some knowledge for next time.
Have a good day!

In the future, here are a few things you can look out for;

  • Test out your ad beforehand.
    • Make sure that it works. I usually test out my ads with a small budget of 2-3k up to 7k, depending on how much I can afford at that particular point. If an ad does well, then sponsor some more, however;
  • Do not spend that much on an ad.
    • I would suggest not going much higher than 10k an ad. I usually stick around the 6-7k mark and get a ton of people. If you do too much at once, it just gets repetitive for users and you’re less likely to reach a wider audience.

Moving forward, I would make 2 or 3 different ads, sponsor 2-3k on each, and see which one or two do the best! Then from there, choose a budget, stick to that budget and hopefully, you’ll see some growth!

Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Is this really a small budget??? For me it’s a lot!!

Well, I guess it depends on the size of your operation.

Smaller amounts will make a bigger impact if your game/group is smaller.

Smaller amounts won’t make an impact if your game/group is bigger.

I would just play around and see what works for you! There was once a day I was running ads of 400-700. Start small and work your way up! I just have personally found that 2-3k work the best for consistent growth within my group.

I’m very poor, I never had more than 1701 Robux, and it was when a friend gave me a 20$ giftcard.

Everyone starts somewhere!

Take your time, be patient, and you’ll find success!

I meant sponsor not ads, and the game was getting around 20,000 visits with this sum of money - now it got around 1,000 visits?

You said don’t do over 10k - but it seems impossible to me to do 60,000 R$ almost NO VISITS with 1R$ CPC

I’m sure the game icon & thumbnails are of decent enough of quality to attract players as I have tested them before and they worked flawlessly

Monday, sponsored around 20k and got around 20k in visits, what’s going on today with only around 1k visits and 60k sponsorship?

Roblox clearly is experiencing some issues on their side

When people search for things sponsored ads appear too - so this could be a small reason for why a part of users aren’t seeing the ad properly

I hope they issue a refund for everyone who’s running ads through this period as this clearly isn’t working as intended

Is there any way to get an official answer to this issue?

You won’t get a refund and the best I can help is that you need to get a content creator to record on your game. My game has around 2.6k players now with 0 ADs and No videos made on it, but trust me having a youtuber make a video on it will boost it very much. Also can we get a link to the game?

The game is made by a dev team that are friends of mine, and they have been really affected by this

I can tell you that it isn’t a bug on roblox nor its down I did the same thing with 50k robux and it got me like 30 players total. 0 player bug has been going on for a while as well it’s just an roblox api thing probably. Also roblox doesn’t allow you to say “hacker” maybe? and stuff for a while and the filtering api is a diff thing

This “roblox api thing” is really affecting small developers and with the removal of <13 sponsor/ads it’s really bringing start-ups down

I mean these simulator games are very hard to grow unless you have fans already like for example big games etc

How do you get in contact with youtubers?

<13 ads didn’t even work for me before it would give me nothing basically

My game is this “find the” genre so I’d go on youtube find some smaller creators around 5k subs and dm them if they would like to make a video.
