Adding weight doesn’t necessarily do anything. Adding weight in the right areas will do something. If you add it near the bottom, you have a lower centre of mass and therefore it will be less able to tip over. Adding a heavy, invisible, uncollidable part under the car’s underside will allow this to occur.
