Recently I made 2 melee weapons, a katana and a combat knife and I would like to hear your thoughts.

You should add imperfections like scratches or marks to make them look more realistic

I am not going for realism. They are for my game. That’s why they aren’t that textured as well because I will use roblox’s default textures.

You should say what you’re aiming for with them otherwise it’s hard for people to give feedback

That’s stupendously stupid. I never mentioned my goal. I just corrected you that I am not going for realism. It also not neccessary for me to specifically list what I am going for on a topic where you just need to give me feedback on where I am wrong. Same goes for @KireiKage and @Teir199 who voted “Eh” without giving a gosh darn reason. That’s stupid.

I do appreciate you telling me to add scratches etc but that clearly is not my goal now.

I can’t give feedback on what you’ve done wrong if I don’t even know what you consider to be “right”. If you were going for realism then no scratches could be considered wrong, although you aren’t going for realism therefore that choice is considered right. So no it’s not a stupid suggestion

This isn’t realism, but rather just implies that it’s been used. Products when photographed are usually sleek & clean, or in perfect condition.

Even when you receive the product, it could also be in perfect condition. The rigidness of a weapon is determined partially by the manufacturer, and it’s “expiration” date.

You can give me feedback on say if there is some mech topology issue or maybe detailing error etc. There are a lot of things to give suggestions on.

Sorry! The textures are just not realistic because i was lazy in blender but in roblox it will look realistic.

Very clean looking! The attention to detail on them is quite nice! The bevels and grooves on the knife are really nice. Well done!

Thank you! I actually used a lot of subdivision modifer so thats why it looks smooth and detailed.

I like these types of melee weapons, even if your goal isn’t to achieve realism. It’s very well done, congratulations.

Really? That’s cool! I’ll also make some guns like a g17 or maybe the scar h? I have a list but just too busy with life.
