A Post-Apocalyptic game

Hey all, over the past half month I’ve been working on a somewhat large Post-Apocalyptic game, complete with multiple locations, enemies, and lore. Currently there’s not too much to show but I wanted to make this post just to show off some of what’s been done; and to hopefully help keep myself motivated as I continue. I’ll post more updates as development continues but for now I just have some pictures of the first area: the pine forests (two pictures I got kinda lazy with and just took them with myself in it). Locations have a pretty low part count for optimization and therefore may be a bit lackluster, but I have to make some sacrifices if I want a large map.

Edit* Added a picture of another location

Nice! When is the planed release date?

Decent, i’ve seen far better but hey its not the best but it’s fine

A full release date isn’t known at this moment but so far I’ve made a lot of progress (beyond what I posted here). I hope that if progress continues at this rate I can have some sort of playable game within around 2-3 more months and could release it as a beta though.

add more plants maybe, lighting should be redone

I actually just made some better lighting a few minutes ago, its brighter now and has better shadows, basically think the last picture (cabins) but with more realistic lighting colors. For extra greenery I’m a little hesitant because I don’t know how it would affect performance and it would take more time. I do agree with you though and I’ll definitely experiment a bit when I start creating other locations farther south. Right now this is supposed to be a colder environment so there would be less greenery as well as less general wear of buildings, or at least wooden ones.

Great work man! Keep it up! It’s great!

It might help to look at images of ghost towns, or disasters, etc, and basic stuff about decay,
etc but you might have already and that’s only particularly for going an extra mile.
