A review of my game idea

I recently had a cool idea for a mode, but here’s my question to you, is it worth it to implement? So idea…

The player enters the prison, the essence of which is to mine blocks, he has a pickaxe and when you click on a block he breaks it a bit. When he breaks it, he gets money as a reward, as well as a small chance of minerals.

He can spend the money to access a new location. If he collects enough money he can get to the new location.

Minerals he can spend on improving the speed of extraction, so that in the future he will be able to destroy blocks with one click.

He will also get more money in new locations.

And for the minerals in addition to the speed of extraction you can pump the amount of money from the blocks and so on.

Also from the blocks can fall out so-called keys. With their help, players will be able to open cases, from which they will receive…

  1. Minerals
  2. Money and Mineral Boosters(x1.5, x2, x3)

This is what players will be able to knock out from normal and rare cases.

And with cooler cases, epic, legendary and mythical players will be able to knock out, relics, and dynamite.

What will the relics be for? Explain, there will be a few, with one player will get more minerals, with other blocks with some chance will explode, with the third players will fall more keys. And so on

What is the purpose of dynamite, with his help, if the player throws it on the letter, and it falls to the ground, it will explode, and then the player gets money from the blocks that explode

Also by the way the level of relics can be increased by applying more relics.

And the last thing will be rebirth, to be reborn, you will need to spend a lot of money, also during the rebirth the level of your relics is reset.

And you start roughly speaking from scratch, but with an eternal 10% booster.

Well, and this time for sure the last thing to happen is this, the black market. What’s that? Explanation. It’s a place where they sell three random things, dynamite, relics keys and so on. They can be bought for minerals. But… it updates every 30 minutes, renewing items, players will also be able to update the black market for minerals. That’s it…

So… I’d like to know one last thing:

1. What do you think of the idea? Is it worth implementing?

2. will players play it in your opinion? That is, will it be interesting to the players?

3. Will it be difficult to implement?

By the way, does anyone want to participate in the development of such a mode?

AND LASTLY, LET ME SAY THIS… THIS MODE IS ALREADY 70% READY SO YOU CAN NOT STEAL THE IDEA + IT IS ALREADY PATENTED

You’ve captured all the usual aspects for a generic, formulaic clicker simulator title, all it’s missing is pets and egg hatching. The only minor twist is the players’ indentured servitude which doesn’t sound very thrilling IMO. There are many mining-based clicker sims.

it’s a very bold claim to say you’ve patented the entire genre of clicker simulators

Objectively though, no this is not a difficult thing to implement, and it has as much a chance to gain success as other clicker sims. There’s not much thematic draw to the idea and it will be in a heavily congested market, so expect to have a high player acquisition cost.

  1. Idea Evaluation: The idea you’ve described for a mining-based mode in a prison setting sounds interesting and has the potential to be enjoyable. It incorporates elements of resource gathering, progression through unlocking new locations, upgrading tools, and acquiring rewards. However, the ultimate decision of whether it’s worth implementing depends on various factors, such as your target audience, game mechanics, and the overall vision and goals of your game. It’s recommended to conduct further research and analysis to determine if this idea aligns with your game’s concept and will enhance the player experience.
  2. Player Interest: The success of any game mode depends on the target audience’s preferences and interests. Mining and progression mechanics have proven to be engaging in many games, and the inclusion of rewards, upgrades, and different tiers of cases adds an additional layer of excitement. However, it’s important to consider the competition and market saturation in similar game genres. Conducting market research, gathering player feedback, or conducting focus groups can help you gauge the potential interest in this mode.
  3. Implementation Complexity: The complexity of implementing this mode can vary depending on several factors, such as the underlying game engine, existing codebase, and the specific features and mechanics you want to include. Aspects like block mining, resource gathering, reward systems, and progression mechanics can require significant programming, balancing, and UI design efforts. Additionally, implementing dynamic systems like the black market and case updates can add further complexity. Assessing the skills and resources available within your development team will help determine the feasibility of implementing this mode effectively.

Regarding your call for participation in development, it’s a good idea to reach out to interested individuals or potential team members who share your vision for the mode. Collaborating with others can help distribute the workload and bring in fresh ideas.

> Lastly, please note that ideas cannot be patented, as patents typically protect inventions or tangible processes rather than abstract concepts like game modes. However, it’s understandable that you want to protect your work and prevent idea theft. Focusing on executing your idea well and providing a unique and engaging player experience will be key to its success.

Remember, the feedback provided here is based on the information you’ve shared, and further analysis and research specific to your game and target audience will be valuable in making informed decisions.

Thank you, Vermillion15.

I’m not sneaky, but I do know U.S. law. Under copyright code, you legally can’t copyright or patent an idea, you can patent a concept which has to be fully written out and described with every minor detail in place.

Also, I have a bit of evidence, if you might wonder how I’ve found this out:
U.S Copyright Law: 17 U.S. Code § 102
Ideas, facts, and concepts are not protected by copyright law.

I believe that @MP3Face already covered this! (So did @VermillionIts15, I’ve had to edit this a lot) anyways, what we’re saying is don’t falsely claim things that legally can’t be claimed!.

Other than that I love the idea! I’m glad to see progress is being made and will be happy to see what it is when released.
