A Story About Invisible Characters
So here was the story: I was playing League of Roblox and then this guy complained that I was invisible, which was strange because I haven’t committed any action that would’ve made me invisible. So as I stood next to him (he was an enemy), I noticed that he didn’t even attack me once, even when I striked. But the other enemies did attack me and see me (how else were they able to attack).

Next round, I was the one who suffered from the bug! Some guy with FlareBlast kept killing me since I barely had a clue where he was, but he also insisted that he wasn’t invisible and that the other people on my team could attack him.
A person PMed me this, and I think it sums up pretty well what’s going on. I don’t think this is my fault.

People are not invisible, people are lag teleporting.
I have noticed this aswell, you think people are invisible, but they just are slow.

FilteringEnabled does this. Make it fixed?

It’s a price to pay for using it… (if it is the cause of the problem, but read this)

Hey David,

Are you sure it’s FilteringEnabled related? I remember you have turned it on a few weeks ago. If this starts happening this week it could be related to one of our network optimizations…

I too experienced this when I was playing.

[strike]You could always run your game without FilteringEnabled to see if the issue continues to occur.[/strike]

It appears the issue is definitely not FilteringEnabled. Or is it? :open_mouth:

If it ain’t FilteringEnabled I haven’t got a clue what it is. ROBLOX Staff, you have my permission to download and poke around in the game to find the problem if you feel so inclined.

lol, as if they didn’t already :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope they fix this issue…

It happends to all of my games that is not even filter enabled.

Murder is having this issue, and its extremely bad.
It only seems to happen to whoever the murderer is though.

My best guess is that something is screwed up with the Humanoid’s Torso from the client’s perspective, and it may have something to do with CFraming it without seeing it happen.

I’m getting very desperate to fix this issue, but I have absolutely no idea how to fix it.

Mouse lock seems to like to assert it’s dominance with a few specific situations. Possibly that is part of the problem? In LoR, the issue never happens with the minions, and only happens with a few select players. With the minions being unable to access mouse lock, and the fact that not everyone uses it, the issue might be entirely based around it. I guess that some code might be interfering with it.

Tomorrow we will revert one of the changes we made last week and hopefully this issue can be resolved.

Btw just to double check this bug only happens on random games, not all of them, right?

I made a thread about it earlier regarding my situation:

Hey guys, do you see much less occurrence of this issue now? We have disabled the related code around noon PST yesterday so if our guess is right, all new game server instances created after that point should be good.
