As a Roblox developer, it is currently hard to quickly find which accessories are compatible which body type (by which I mean 1.0, Rthro etc.) for NPCs.
I think I need to address why this is an important issue: I like making NPCs and I’m very particular about which body type I use, because mixing up body types in the same world compromises consistency. Of course, making an NPC requires having suitable hats etc. for said NPCs. However, it is very difficult to quickly find out which hats fit which type of body (this is particularly a problem with long hair) and this makes making a large group of NPCs a much slower process than it could be, because I need to either check each one by trying it on, or putting it on the NPC and then having to delete it again, and finding a new hat.
A good example would be all the new Community made accessories. I think that many of them look excellent. However, I find it off putting that I can’t quickly know which hairs etc. can fit onto the packages I’m working with at the time, which means I end up avoiding all of them, even those which would fit onto the body time I’m using.
My own personal solution to this would be to add an additional filter selection into the advanced searches for the catalogue which allows you to filter accessories to one (or multiple) body types.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because it would mean I could make NPCs much quicker, and I’d be able to know which community made hats fit onto my NPCs. Overall, this would mean that there would be a much wider range of hats used on NPCs in games, as developers would more easily be able to see the full selection of hats which would fit the NPC they are making. (I should also add, this could also help general character customisation for all players too)
