My gamepasses are stuck like this… note the nice circular gamepasses and then the other one that doesn’t fit the theme.
We can change developer product images but not gamepass images? Were they forgotten? >:
This would open up game passes to become something they weren’t when first purchased.
The difference with dev products is that you will get exactly what you payed for when buying it.
With game passes, you sort of have to rely on the owner to keep its abilities constant.
So to put it into 1 sentence: this would open up the floor to scammy badges being sold as one thing, and then changed to another, possibly even downgraded to something crap.
Interesting thought but we can already rename the gamepass names. So if a scammer really wanted to scam that way, they could just upload the pass with a generic vague image like a gradient or star, and rename it whatever.
At least badges we can’t rename
That’s a possibility, but your suggestion in the OP would just make game pass scams easier and more successful.
Hmm I still disagree but maybe an admin or someone else could think of a way to expand on this (like putting a 100 robux charge on changing the image or something) o:
It’s a small convenience for some (legit game Devs) which could end up being a serious inconvenience for others (scam victims).
I just feel like it would remove a lot of trust from game passes.
Isn’t that what reporting and bans are for?
Isn’t that what reporting and bans are for?[/quote]
But does it really need more and more complicated reports when it could be easily be avoided by not allowing the change of the assets image.
To be honest I actually would want this myself because I want to update my badge images. But the cons outweigh the pros in my view.

And what is stopping them from discontinuing a gamepass and not awarding what the users paid for?
There is almost 0 gain in changing the name/picture/price of a game pass over discontinuing it.

Good point, but I still wouldn’t want to buy a pass and then look at my inventory a week later to wonder where the hell it went to, only to find out that it has transformed into something completely different without my consent.
It’s like buying a green (yay) tee shirt in a shop, and then checking in your wardrobe a week later to see that the shop clerk has come to your house and replaced it with a pink one.
That would suck.
Lets say I have a gamepass:
100% Increased Health
And players complain that it is too powerful. I could recycle it into
50% Increased Health
Instead of discontinuing it and creating a new game pass.
(which would have to be re bought)
Can you only have 9 game passes in a game including discontinued ones?
Unless you can remove them, discontinuing is just removing their function from the code of your game

By discontinue, I mean taking them off sale.
Probably not. Otherwise you could bypass the limit by taking them offsale, making more, then putting them onsale again.
I like the idea of letting us change the image, we can change the image of developer products, we can change images of games.
And letting us change the gamepass image, would not change anything.
You can only have a max of 9 gamepasses on 1 game, and with this, people don’t need to stop selling their gamepasses, that is no longer in use, just resycling the use of it, giving it a new look, and a new function in game, and you don’t need to re buy a new gamepass.

These are the reason I oppose this.
‘Recycling’ gamepasses. ‘A new function in game’, ‘giving it a new look’ (making it unrecognisable from the original purchased product).
People still get something new, if they discontinue the game pass, from it’s first function.
Like if i want to have people able to buy walkspeed + 50 the first game pass, but then i re make the game, and i don’t want people to have +50 walkspeed anymore, and the gamepass is stuck with +50 walkspeed as image.
Then i want the gamepass to give a gun instead, then i want to replace +50 walkspeed image with give gun… And then i have replaced the gamepass, and people didn’t have to buy a new gamepass (also better if you got max 9 gamepasses) and needs a new gamepass, instead of making a gamepass on another game.
