I’ve had an idea where players can edit their roblox chat message after sent through the system, and yes I’m talking about the roblox chat on the website not in-game. I believe this will be a great feature to add to the chat system, as it’s rarely updated and payed attention to most times. Most people don’t use the roblox chat as they have other platforms like discord for these purposes, but I believe this will attract a few more people to use the roblox chat, because not being able to edit one of your messages in the roblox chat is an issue and is certainly needed and an important matter. Another idea to be discussed is deleting a roblox chat mesage, say someone sends you the wrong message or wants to correct a spelling error. So rather than having to go through the trouble to make a completely new message, they can simply click the delete button, or go to roblox chat settings and select the message you would like to delete and simply click delete, like you can on the iPhone message app. The delete option can also possibly be available to the players, whenever they click the “edit” button.
This could also come in handy with roblox’s website messages, the system will basically work the same way but could be different in many ways. Whenever you go to your roblox messages inbox, instead of read and unread messages, you have the option to delete them from your inbox so your inbox isn’t cluttered with random messages. Another way, is whenever you go to messages you’ve sent, you can also delete or edit those. To edit and delete, you simply click the edit button then select any message you’ve sent, and change the title and/or message. To delete there can be a separate button for this, but I’d recommend being able to access it by also clicking the edit button. If you decide to delete a message, and once you do the message will then disappear from the recipient’s inbox who received the message.
But of course, there’s a ton of different places you can place the “Edit” or “Delete” button on the site, but I chose these two because I thought they were in the best, and easiest to see and access.
