I want it to be for accounts associated with the same email (that is verified, by the way).
The only problem could be that an alt gets stolen by someone else and I’ve already spoken about my thoughts about that in the first comments.
Anyways , it seems most people would find this to be quite applicable somehow even though it seems the majority would do it for privacy over money saving.
I am curious, what is Roblox thinking? What does Roblox want to figure out before deciding whether to accept or decline?
You could also associate someone else’s account to your E-mail. Even if they could tell what alt belongs to you, it would still be wrong to be able to infinitely give many accounts your exact inventory, which would still be denting Roblox’s gain due to user’s finding it no longer necessary to genuinely have to purchase more on separated accounts vs wanting to do a one-time transfer of another accounts items. (that would revoke the account that got its inventory transferred out of’s items.) As well as the infinite RAP that you could produce with this, which would kill the economy.
Okay. Then how about the feature is limited to accounts that were email-verified? It’s what I’ve been trying to say.
This is kind of what my fight is about. It’s to save money. Roblox will monetarily be damaged but I don’t want to be damaged either (by paying a bunch of times for the same things). To not abuse what I am suggesting, I said this:
I’m just trying to see what the best solution here is for all users in a similar situation. What I mean with “disruptive” is that most users may not want to move accounts if there’s a smaller feature we can implement to solve some of the underlying issues.
Not trying to invalidate any of your concerns here, just trying to see what the best solution is. Apologies if this came across differently!
Okay, well, just so you know, the suggestion should not be looked at a macroscale, a much bigger scale. The goal isn’t a 1:1 account transfer. I’m just limiting it to avatar items and currency. I don’t want to transfer other things (ex. badges, stats, usernames, premium subscriptions, experiences, other inventory items etc.). I think someone else has suggested something along the lines of a greater scale transfer but I would much prefer to stay within the limits stated in my thread body.
This. A few months ago, I tried to contact Roblox support to have my past username containing my birth year hidden from my past usernames, and was met with a denial message because apparently unless the past username in question is your full name, it can’t be removed. I know this is a little off-topic from the OP but it was quite the annoyance and I felt I’d bring it up here since you mentioned it.
Tbh transfering items are kinda useless but currency is really needed so you can pay someone without fees, we are already paying enough fees and the 30% cut when paying a freelancer is excessive.
