As a ROBLOX developer, it is currently too hard to keep your game’s success after leaving the project.
If this issue is addressed, it would improve the developing and playing experience of everyone because developers could continue to get Robux from their game and players could enjoy more content.
This is how you could fix this: Buying and selling games.
Imagine this situation: A developer makes a game called TYCOON TYCOON TYCOON. TYCOON TYCOON TYCOON is a very successful game. However, the developer no longer has enough time in their life to actually work on the game. What if they were able to sell the game to another developer? The developer could send “Sell Requests” to other people and if they both agree for a certain price they can sell the game.
Then, the developer could make a large sum of ROBUX and the new developer could work on a game.
Of course there would be a small tax or else this would be an easy way to transfer ROBUX between accounts which would allow for many scams.
An addition like this would be great so that games could continue to be worked on. If this was a feature then games could keep going for long times with new content. I’ll use Super Power Training Simulator as an example. The developers of Super Power Training Simulator abruptly gave up on the game, leaving it stuck on a Halloween event. What if they could sell the game to another group? The game would continue to get content!
Right now, the game has about 3 thousand players. Imagine how many players it would have if it still got new content!
One bad thing about this would be that new games would never get on the front page because there would only be old games. For example, if this was a thing, maybe Prison Life would be the top game.
Leave your thoughts in the comments. I want to know how other people think about this.
