About osu!RoVer

Dear original osu! players

Thank you for taking a look at the Roblox Version of osu! (osu!RoVer)
This game mainly focus on the gameplay to the players that haven’t know about osu! yet.
I don’t really focus on the exact design of osu!, only focus on the game mechanic and anything related to improve the game.

What is about the game compared to the original?

  • The game’s hit window might different than the original as it is more likely require less timing (even more if you are using a touch device)

  • Difficulty and Perfomance Score (known as Perfomance Point in osu) are completely calculated directly inside the game, most mathmechic are taken or inspired from osu! lazer sourcecode. And the rating might different compared to the original.

  • HP rate is based on a lot of test and experience of Developer’s gameplay, HP bar will constantly drain faster if you are on a Stream or there’s a lot of note at a moment.

  • This game is Accuracy Based, unlike original game’s Perfomance Point rating, you won’t lose a lot perfomance if you lose combo, but will still lose if you get a miss.

  • The game’s score rating is mixed between osu! and osu!lazer, 72.7% of score using osu! classic score system, other 27.3% is used by the osu!RoVer’s original Accuracy Score system, a perfect hit (300s)/3 okay hit (100s)/6 bad hit (50s) is considered as a Combo that cannot break.

  • Everymap on the game is completely Ranked in osu!RoVer and choosen by the developer. Some song might get deleted by the request of the original mapper or song artist.

  • This game have limited song data base, on the current version (V1.47) there’s only 2402 avaiable beatmaps to play

The goal of the game

  • Started on June, 2021. The first goal of the game is to making a fun test of osu! using roblox lua code.
  • But to satisfy player’s experience I will keep updating, add more songs, fixing issue and take a help on every player that are new to the game.
