Is there a reason why doesn’t the DET respond to questions about the forum?
Staff on this forum mainly direct questions about moderation and/or the forum to the DET, but when I contacted them NOT REGARDING FLAGS, I never got any response. I just wanted to ask a question related to the forum.
I have submitted 2 separate DM’s to the Dev Engagement Team, one 10 days ago, second 2 days ago, no of them received any response.
However when you flag a post and/or have questions about forum warnings, you get a response within a day.
If I am not supposed to contact the DET about non-flag issues, why does staff then say that you should redirect general forum questions to the DET to answer?
If you think that it’s due to them being busy, why:
does the staff redirect almost every single forum question to them to answer?
don’t they respond after 10 days?
would they be busy if there’s 7 different members to handle flags and stuff? Plus, it’s not like a post gets flagged every second on the forum.
do they respond to questions regarding flags, then?

I’ve seen that when you flag a post and you write “something else” they don’t respond themselves, I think it’s an automated system (it’s the same wording each time).
Plus, they reason they didn’t reply is probably because your DM is not suited for them or it doesn’t meet the requirements. Does the DM have more than 1 view? If so, they saw it, but didn’t think it was something they can do. I also have a DM with them and I got no response for more than 2 months now.
If it’s an automated system, why does it take a while before getting a response from them? Also what would then determine “who would the system disguise at”?
So there is no automation then. Staff have a tool to input canned messages, like the ones you receive when you get a forum moderation actions or when your post gets approved. PA and up have the privileges to insert canned messages.
By the fact that the word “Engagement” is in that name, I don’t think they are engaging to your direct messages as they should be. Maybe, they have a small team and have heavy work to handle so they won’t have time to see your direct messages or even respond to them.
Slightly off-topic, maybe it’s easier to ask sages? Because I DM’ed sages and they got back with (I think) 1-2 days, and it didn’t seem like an automated reply.
Because they don’t answer forum questions, i always send a forum question to the Community Sage group. If you read what the group says:
The Developer Engagement team covers the following areas:
Developer Forum moderation
Developer community engagement
Highlighting developers and games on the platform
Correct me if i’m wrong, but you must send a message to the Community Sage group for a forum question (except for moderation)
