Accelerometer Output Noise

Hello! I am currently experiencing problems translating real world motion to in game motion.

The data received from the accelerometer is really janky. A lot of the time the part just flies away after decelerating or just when the device is resting.

After some research, I found out about accelerometer noise which could be the reason for this jankiness but didn’t find anything about the level of disturbency that it could create.

If someone is experienced in this field, could he answer these question;

Is the noise a factor here, or is it a minor problem.
If yes, then what would be an efficient method of reduce/negligating it.
