Accessing Start Screen

I’ve tested this on mac only, I don’t know how it works on windows

If I open the first window of studio (doesn’t matter how, can be from the application or through the website by loading a game), when I close the tab in the window for the game I’m editing, it brings me to the start page. However, if I try to do the same thing with a second tab that I open (again, doesn’t matter how), it will exit out of the entire studio window when I try to close the tab for the game I’m editing.

I think the most ideal functionality is to bring up the start page, and, if you wanted to close the entire window, then you would click the normal window close button instead of the tab close button.

Just tested this on my Mac running 10.13.1, and just want to clarify the repro:

  1. Open studio
  2. Enter any place
  3. Open another place that goes into another window (like the new place button)
  4. Close the second place you just opened
  5. It closes the window instead of opening the start screen on the second window

Same behavior for me. I don’t remember this happening when the start screen first came out, either.

AFAIK this has always been the behavior. Studio will close the entire window (even the first one you opened) if another exists. Only closing the last window (regardless which order it was opened in) brings up the landing.

On mac you can open up different windows of games and closing one doesn’t close all of the windows. (Closing a game tab in a window will close the entire window for all studio windows except for the first one)

For me its the other way around. Only closing the first game tab I opened brings up the start screen in that specific window - any other windows’ tabs just closes the entire windows.

Closing a window does not close all windows. Studio will close an entire (singular) window when exiting a place, unless the window is the last. Does MacOS not see the same behavior as pictured below?

I think I misinterpreted that statement, but the close sequence is reversed for mac where the first window is the one that goes to the start screen not the last window.
