Hello guys and first of all, yes i’m a moron for getting my account hacked, i want to get help from y’all though.
I had around 600k robux on my account, a popular game, and a bunch of limiteds.
The hacker who got into my account stole all of it, transferred ownership of my game to an alt account of his, then tried to get me terminated (He uploaded nsfw through my acc but it only got banned for 3 days.)
So the first thing i did in this situation is contact roblox support but i really want to get my things back, with a rollback if possible and obviously regaining access to my game as well as it’s currently my only source of income and if i don’t devex i don’t eat.
Any suggestions from y’all? Anything would help i’m actually freaking out a little bit lol.
Waiting for Roblox’s response from support is about all you can do. They can take up to 2 weeks. I’d hope that being on DevEx and the situation itself would decrease the wait time. They’ll probably ask you a way to verify who you are and whatnot. I can’t attest to the right way to unfortunately.
I don’t think there’s anything we, as random developers on the forum, can do.
As for Roblox being your only source of income, despite this being a rare situation, it’d be wise to have a backup for future reference. I hope you get your account back though.
Thank you thank you, they responded telling me to send a request through the email linked to my roblox account but the hacker also changed it so, i’ll try to speak sense to the roblox admin who just responded to me.
If it’s 2 weeks though that’s def gonna be a goner for my account.
I want to say it’s horrific how bad roblox support actually is. I’ve spent the past 5 days creating around 10 tickets and every time they say “umm, please contact us through the email linked to your account” brother in christ you changed it to the hacker’s.
I have sent multiple Roblox support tickets in the past few months for various things, and they usually respond within a few days, sometimes only a few hours later, not 2 weeks…
It’s not a good idea to send multiple tickets though, since this can actually requeue your support ticket and make it take even longer to get another response. I never send multiple tickets to Roblox for 1 incident, and this is probably why I get responses so quickly.
I would STOP sending tickets and wait for a response. This will probably get you a response much faster. When prompted, send follow up emails. Here’s a link to someone who had a similar situation. I would also heavily advise not depending on Roblox as your only source of income.
oof man. good luck with that, in the end i managed to recover my account, however, i had to dm a roblox admin myself that i had contacts with. Only then they got in contact with me to give me my account back. (However, they refused to give me 600k stolen robux, and only gave me 180k back)
